About the work:
A single jar of “perfume” my children made in the backyard has captured my imagination and been the catalyst for this body of work. I transfer these worlds to canvas with poured paint, bold brush marks, and rich color. Moments of chaos, moments of control. Submerged in thin, romantic glazes of color and light. I attempt to scratch the surface of the magic and curiosity embodied in that first jar.
